Wrong Biennale https://thewrong.org/CodedFeelings How do artificial intelligence reshape the intimate connections that define us? Coded Feelings invites you to explore the shifting terrain of human emotions, relationships, love, betrayal, and control in an AI environment. The selected works confront the delicate interplay between humanity and machine intelligence, blurring the boundaries between authentic emotion and synthetic influence. They examine how trust is recalibrated in a world where algorithms anticipate our desires, how perceptions are altered by curated digital experiences, and how control is both gained and surrendered in the flow of data-driven interactions. Coded Feelings is a meditation on the human experience within this rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.Works by Una, Monika Drabot, Robin Leverton, Newnew Zinger, Enrico Dedin, Olivia Shi, Pu-tian, Yichun Yao.Curated by Yichun Yao.London, England. https://yaoyichun.com/Human-Proved Tue, 15 Jul 2025 15:41:58 +0000 Yao Yichun https://yaoyichun.com/Human-Proved Human Proved <img width="2000" height="1125" width_o="2000" height_o="1125" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/41f255cf4a72e445320cdd88bf1128273d18790bb69041c1bd6bf85052fe9ee3/Screenshot-2025-07-10-at-23.18.05.png" data-mid="235834441" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/41f255cf4a72e445320cdd88bf1128273d18790bb69041c1bd6bf85052fe9ee3/Screenshot-2025-07-10-at-23.18.05.png" />2025Performance, Installation, Interaction Inspired by reCAPTCHA technology, Human Proved invites visitors to “prove” their humanity through a process of reCAPTCHA in the physical world. Guests are asked to complete a short form featuring some quirky, personal questions—such as “How do you squeeze a toothpaste tube?” or “What’s the last question you asked ChatGPT?” They are then issued a “Human Proved” or “Robot Proved” sticker to wear inside the gallery. Blurring the line between interaction, performance, and installation, Human Proved transforms a simple check-in into a humorous and intimate social experiment—where the quirks of everyday life become the true proof of humanity. <img width="2000" height="1125" width_o="2000" height_o="1125" When my images are collaged with other artists’ works, they generated different meanings. <img width="3392" height="1978" width_o="3392" height_o="1978" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/6791db1d70f53e28e1fdc816cd6f5001cff0c9c7fe86da9148ef6654c816ac23/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.46.10-PM.png" data-mid="198005645" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/6791db1d70f53e28e1fdc816cd6f5001cff0c9c7fe86da9148ef6654c816ac23/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.46.10-PM.png" /><img width="3392" height="1982" width_o="3392" height_o="1982" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/37ab44b3bd845596f7a019e438685fe400ae689995078fc45d18bea8836d3c1c/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.46.02-PM.png" data-mid="198005644" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/37ab44b3bd845596f7a019e438685fe400ae689995078fc45d18bea8836d3c1c/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.46.02-PM.png" /> <img width="3380" height="2014" width_o="3380" height_o="2014" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/c3b177765447e37dac497cc8838af2d812c520f0612b37d3fffac6a1b4d3c33a/Screen-Shot-2023-11-01-at-12.07.07-AM.PNG" data-mid="198005629" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/c3b177765447e37dac497cc8838af2d812c520f0612b37d3fffac6a1b4d3c33a/Screen-Shot-2023-11-01-at-12.07.07-AM.PNG" /><img width="3394" height="1984" width_o="3394" height_o="1984" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3033032eef5be6d21e2918899d8f3cfe8e1fac76f9adc06ba048e18f18990816/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-3.43.54-PM.png" data-mid="198005623" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/3033032eef5be6d21e2918899d8f3cfe8e1fac76f9adc06ba048e18f18990816/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-3.43.54-PM.png" /><img width="1614" height="1658" width_o="1614" height_o="1658" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/d639b760370745a3839e8129806bc4bc66cbdea1231e97b2ade8be6d964021f6/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.44.13-PM.png" data-mid="198006019" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/d639b760370745a3839e8129806bc4bc66cbdea1231e97b2ade8be6d964021f6/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.44.13-PM.png" /><img width="1088" height="1366" width_o="1088" height_o="1366" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/86f374fed021c07f5fd94ed01ac6068314b3316f14b34d0498339afa80b3dc01/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.44.55-PM.png" data-mid="198005622" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/86f374fed021c07f5fd94ed01ac6068314b3316f14b34d0498339afa80b3dc01/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-1.44.55-PM.png" /><img width="1080" height="1080" width_o="1080" height_o="1080" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/b2dff177961a6f98cc4b4711305123495e7e87ec271f86996b3635f42ce5a261/IMG_2252.JPG" data-mid="198005625" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/b2dff177961a6f98cc4b4711305123495e7e87ec271f86996b3635f42ce5a261/IMG_2252.JPG" /> TheWrong BiennaleThe Exphygit CorpseChronicles of CutoutsThe Scrapbook Enigma https://yaoyichun.com/Slapping-Left-Swiping-Right Mon, 27 Nov 2023 23:29:10 +0000 Yao Yichun https://yaoyichun.com/Slapping-Left-Swiping-Right Slapping Left, Swiping Right <img width="3352" height="1874" width_o="3352" height_o="1874" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/560977eb49a7192a6c79e7ece3baea2d942c7d9de28380a606e470f105c98534/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.42.51-PM.png" data-mid="198003926" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/560977eb49a7192a6c79e7ece3baea2d942c7d9de28380a606e470f105c98534/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.42.51-PM.png" /> 2023Performance / Video “100% Perfect Match” begins with a performance, in the performance, I left slapped (swiped) all the guys on their faces. Complained algorithum recommanded me the people I don’t like. In order to invite participants to be slapped by me, I made a group on Locals, called “Slapping Activity”. Surprisingly, many women showed stronger interests than men to attend my video making, but I have to turn them down, because I am not bisexual. In the virtual, men and women just need to swipe their finger on the screen left or right, instead of real physical violence. <img width="3338" height="1786" width_o="3338" height_o="1786" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e8cdd1c1d81bf4e15ed4acfc87986ead00f18fda0bde2e65e0d47a87c7e22d0b/Screen-Shot-2023-11-18-at-11.58.39-PM.png" data-mid="198003922" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e8cdd1c1d81bf4e15ed4acfc87986ead00f18fda0bde2e65e0d47a87c7e22d0b/Screen-Shot-2023-11-18-at-11.58.39-PM.png" /><img width="3348" height="1876" width_o="3348" height_o="1876" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/97faba228e970361b340244955dc48dbf57ac5ee6ce183fb27b81cc620bfcc35/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.41.15-PM.png" data-mid="198003923" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/97faba228e970361b340244955dc48dbf57ac5ee6ce183fb27b81cc620bfcc35/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.41.15-PM.png" /><img width="3354" height="1884" width_o="3354" height_o="1884" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/00a729c1d6b67e24dd2886b356081841e28c3549a9dec8b388e876e1c0810660/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.41.50-PM.png" data-mid="198003925" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/00a729c1d6b67e24dd2886b356081841e28c3549a9dec8b388e876e1c0810660/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.41.50-PM.png" /> <img width="3342" height="1876" width_o="3342" height_o="1876" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/5390100894b51d7229d924a264e84c42709c1d4dc6cf89a9139d6d2595c5b29f/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.47.05-PM.png" data-mid="198003929" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/5390100894b51d7229d924a264e84c42709c1d4dc6cf89a9139d6d2595c5b29f/Screen-Shot-2023-11-21-at-11.47.05-PM.png" /> https://yaoyichun.com/100-Perfect-Match Mon, 27 Nov 2023 16:14:49 +0000 Yao Yichun https://yaoyichun.com/100-Perfect-Match 100% Perfect Match <img width="3508" height="5192" width_o="3508" height_o="5192" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/a4559f7cca2d47f3a3df3b526cf9197c2fbf2370a8736790c0c50b75a1085eb4/Black-box-07.jpg" data-mid="198006280" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/a4559f7cca2d47f3a3df3b526cf9197c2fbf2370a8736790c0c50b75a1085eb4/Black-box-07.jpg" />2023Interactive Installation / Performance I made a black box with free Sainsbury carton boxes (in reality, to use “black box” is never free), the size of the black box is just big enough to hide a fortune teller inside.
